Nearly 3,800 Turkish Companies Operating in Our Country: Kazakh President

Astana (Turkiye News) — President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said that around 3,800 Turkish companies are actively operating in his country and invited Turkish investors to participate in larger development projects.

He made these remarks while addressing the closing session of the Turkey–Kazakhstan Business Forum, which was also attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

President Tokayev said the forum proved to be highly productive and comprehensive, and thanked the Turkish side for its cooperation in organizing the event.

He said Kazakhstan is providing every possible facility to Turkish companies, which has resulted in the creation of thousands of job opportunities.

The Kazakh president noted that strengthening cooperation in the industrial sector is crucial for increasing investment volumes and said joint efforts between the two countries would pave the way for new business opportunities.

He added that the intergovernmental commission should play a central role in expanding bilateral cooperation.

Tokayev further said that Kazakhstan is the largest economy in Central Asia and that its GDP saw significant growth last year.

He also highlighted visa and tax facilitation programs for investors and said reforms have strengthened investment protection in the country.
