Nearly 200 Citizens Safely Repatriated from Oman to Azerbaijan via Special AZAL Flight

Baku (Turkey News) – A total of 195 Azerbaijani citizens, one Turkish citizen, and two foreign residents of Azerbaijan were safely repatriated from Oman to their homeland via a special AZAL flight.

According to the report, the information was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement noted that under the directives of President Ilham Aliyev, and in light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the next phase of repatriation for citizens residing in Abu Dhabi and Dubai has been successfully completed.

The Ministry stated: "Over the past few days, through the efforts of our embassy in the UAE and the consulate in Dubai, a list of citizens to be repatriated was prepared. These citizens were then transported by special buses to the Oman airport with the assistance of our embassy, and flown to Azerbaijan via a special AZAL flight."

The repatriation process is ongoing. Given the recent situation in the Middle East, the next special return flight from Muscat, Oman to Baku is underway, aiming to ensure the safe return of citizens residing in the UAE.

AZAL reported that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner operating on the Muscat–Baku route is expected to land at Heydar Aliyev International Airport within the next few hours. The flight is planned to safely transport approximately 200 citizens in total. The national airline confirmed that all flights are being conducted in a safe and organized manner, following the guidelines set by relevant state authorities.
