Lahore (Turkiye Khabar) The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon of Muharram-ul-Haram was not sighted anywhere in the country. As a result, 1st Muharram 1448 AH will fall on Wednesday, June 17, while Youm-e-Ashura will be observed on Friday, June 26.
A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, with the participation of religious scholars and representatives of relevant institutions. After the meeting, it was announced that no acceptable testimony of moon sighting had been received from any part of the country.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in his statement, appreciated the efforts of the national leadership and said that positive results had emerged from the continuous diplomatic efforts of the country's top leadership. He paid tribute to the services of the Prime Minister and the military leadership.
He said that the nation is united against all kinds of subversive conspiracies and highly values the sacrifices made by the security institutions serving for the country's safety and security.
