Lahore (Turkiye Khabar) An important facility has been introduced for citizens wishing to obtain a driving permit. Free medical fitness certificate centers have been established in various government hospitals across the city.
According to the Chief Traffic Officer Lahore, citizens can now obtain a medical fitness certificate from government hospitals without paying any fee. In the initial phase, these centers have been made operational in 13 government hospitals in Lahore.
Under this facility, special counters have been established at government hospitals including Mian Mir District Hospital, Mozang District Hospital, Ghaziabad General Hospital, and Sabzazar Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, as well as hospitals in Samanabad, Qila Gujjar Singh, Shahdara, Bilal Ganj, Sodiwal, Kahna, Raiwind, and Swami Nagar.
The Chief Traffic Officer stated that a medical fitness certificate has been made mandatory for obtaining a commercial driving permit and for individuals above 50 years of age. To prevent the issuance of fake certificates, a modern electronic system is being introduced, while an online verification process will further enhance transparency, accountability, and public confidence.
