Baku (Turkey News) A special ceremony was held at the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects under the Security Institution on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
According to the institution’s press service, the ceremony began with participants laying flowers at the statue of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, and paying tribute to his great services. After that, specially prepared stands inside the building were reviewed, displaying materials related to his political and social contributions and state-building efforts.
In the formal part of the ceremony, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of the national leader and the martyrs. Speakers highlighted that Heydar Aliyev played a historic role in safeguarding Azerbaijan’s independence, strengthening state institutions, ensuring political and social stability, reinforcing the military structure, and advancing economic development.
It was also emphasized that the economic reforms initiated under his leadership, along with major global energy projects such as the “Contract of the Century,” form the foundation of the country’s current development.
During the event, special lectures were presented on “Heydar Aliyev’s Energy Policy” and “The Journey Toward Stability.” At the end, a documentary film titled “Iz” (Trace), based on his life and achievements, was screened.
