Meeting Between Prime Minister and Chinese Ambassador, Commitment to Advance CPEC 2

Islamabad (Turkey News) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a significant meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong in the federal capital. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary were also present.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the Chinese leadership on the successful conduct of the “Two Sessions” and thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for their Pakistan Day greetings. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing CPEC 2 under the areas of agriculture, industrial cooperation, and infrastructure.

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong appreciated Pakistan’s economic resilience and reform efforts and assured continued cooperation in trade and investment. Both sides expressed satisfaction over ongoing engagements and agreed to further strengthen relations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary.

The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s constructive role in reducing regional tensions and promoting stability, reaffirming close coordination on matters of mutual interest and the commitment to a sustainable Pakistan-China strategic partnership.
