Karachi (Turkiya News) – In a hearing at the Malir Court regarding a multi-billion fraud case involving over 700 citizens in various areas of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, the court rejected the bail petition of the accused, Basir Ahmed. Following the rejection, the accused escaped from the courtroom.
Basir Ahmed faces a separate case at Steel Town Police Station, filed by citizen Waqas Chaudhry, related to cheque bouncing. According to the complainant’s lawyer, Abbas Zar, the accused, along with accomplices, had established a showroom named “Nazeer Motors” in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and allegedly defrauded around 700 individuals from various areas.
The lawyer added that the accused issued cheques for car purchases which later bounced, including two cheques issued to Waqas Chaudhry. He argued that Basir Ahmed was not entitled to bail and should have been sent to jail after the rejection of his interim bail plea.
