Baku (Turkiye News) — Under the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the process of “Great Return” to liberated territories of Azerbaijan is continuing, with citizens being relocated from temporary accommodation centers back to their ancestral homes.
According to the state news agency, in this phase, 5 families comprising 26 individuals were resettled in Zangilan city, while 107 families with 453 individuals were relocated to the village of Shukurbayli in the Jabrayil district.
These families had previously been living temporarily in different parts of the country, including hostels, sanatoriums, and government buildings.
Upon returning to their ancestral lands, the citizens expressed gratitude for the facilities provided by the government and thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The returning residents also paid tribute to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and prayed for the martyrs, describing the process as a historic achievement for the country.
