Baku (Turkiye News) — A meeting was held between Speaker of the National Assembly of Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of the Parliament of Dunyagozel Gulmanova on the sidelines of the Second Asian Women Forum held in the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan across various fields.
The two sides agreed that high-level political contacts between the presidents of both countries are playing an important role in further strengthening bilateral relations.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of the Asian Women Forum, stating that it plays a significant role in increasing women’s political and social participation and promoting cooperation among female members of parliament from different countries.
While discussing parliamentary relations, both sides noted that friendship groups between the parliaments are active and cooperation continues within various international parliamentary organizations.
The meeting also covered issues of mutual interest, including enhancing regional and international cooperation and expanding parliamentary ties further.
