Azarbaijan (Sports Desk): In Argentina’s Apertura Tournament on Saturday, Lanz defeated group leader Vélez Sarsfield 1-0, with the match-deciding goal coming from Carlos Sciaredo in the final moments.

The winning goal came in the 71st minute when Sciaredo headed in Eduardo Salvio’s cross from the edge of the six-yard box, breaking through the opposition’s defense. Vélez goalkeeper Randel Rodriguez made several crucial saves to prevent further goals.

Following this victory, Lanz moved to third place in Group A with 18 points, four points behind Vélez, who have played one more match and lead second-placed Defensa y Justicia by three points.
