Azerbaijan (Sports Desk) Real Madrid star forward Kylian Mbappé showcased brilliant form in the Champions League match against his former club Monaco, scoring two goals in the first half. These goals marked his 31st and 32nd of the season, giving Madrid a 2-0 lead at halftime.
By the end of the match, Los Blancos defeated the Ligue 1 side 6-1, bringing Real Madrid closer to qualification for the Round of Eight.
Mbappé scored his first goal just four minutes into the match with an angled strike inside the box and added a second in the 25th minute, assisted by Vinicius, to further strengthen his team’s lead.
These goals were Mbappé’s 11th in this season’s Champions League, matching the record for most goals in the first six games of the competition. Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo had scored 11 goals in six group-stage matches during the 2015-16 season and went on to score 16 goals that season, helping Real Madrid secure the trophy.
