Israel wants destruction in the region, welcomes principle agreement between the US and Iran: Turkish Foreign Minister

Moscow/Ankara (Turkey News): Hakan Fidan said that an agreement in principle has been reached on key points between the United States and Iran, however some technical matters are still unresolved.

Speaking to journalists during his visit to Moscow, he said that technical teams will have to determine how the 400 kilograms of enriched uranium of Iran will be diluted, monitored, and passed through the verification process.

According to him, a principle agreement exists, but further discussions are still required on how it will be implemented, including who will supervise the process and what the verification system will be.

Hakan Fidan said that the war situation, mutual distrust, and the regional situation, including Israeli actions in Lebanon, are affecting the pace of negotiations.

He stated that the American side sometimes responds within an hour, while the Iranian side sometimes takes up to a week, which is why he has encouraged both sides to engage in direct negotiations.

The Turkish Foreign Minister strongly criticized Israel’s regional policies, calling them a global issue.

He said that Israel wants destruction in the region and seeks to influence certain countries through occupation and violence, which is having serious impacts on both global security and the economy.

According to him, Israel is facing increasing diplomatic criticism, and he hopes this pressure will contribute to promoting peace and stability in the region.
