Kayseri, Turkey (Turkey News) The Turkish company ASPİLSAN Enerji is working on specially designed, locally produced power sources tailored to the energy and performance requirements of various drone platforms.
Company General Manager Ahmed Turan Özdemir told Anadolu that the company is developing customized battery cells and specialized battery packs according to the type of each drone to achieve the required performance.
He said that fixed-wing drones require higher energy capacity, while fast and agile FPV drones require short but powerful energy bursts.
According to Özdemir, engineers have introduced advanced safety systems at both the cell and pack levels due to heat generated during high-energy discharge, in order to prevent risks such as thermal imbalance, fire, and explosion.
He further stated that new batteries are being developed especially for single-use drones that do not require long-term performance.
The company has also developed battery formulas in collaboration with Turkish drone manufacturers according to their specific requirements.
