Islamabad High Court Issues Notices to Federal Government and FIA Over Permanency of 43 Officers

Islamabad (Turkiya Khabar) – The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the federal government and relevant authorities regarding the permanency of 43 officers and employees of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), asking them to submit their responses in court.

After hearing the petition filed by the applicants, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan directed the federal government, FIA, NCCIA, Federal Public Service Commission, and Ministry of Law to submit their para-wise comments in court and provide copies to the petitioners.

The petitioners’ lawyer requested that the termination orders be halted, salaries and other benefits continue until a final decision is made, and vacant positions not be filled on an ad-hoc basis. The petition stated that the applicants were originally appointed through proper advertisements, tests, and interviews and were later deputed from FIA to NCCIA.

The court noted that the points raised by the petitioners are worth consideration, and thus notices have been issued to the parties. The case has been scheduled for further hearing.
