Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has taken a sharp sarcastic swipe at the United States, saying that a country which once claimed it could bring about regime change is now in a position where it is seeking help to find its missing pilot.
The statement came after Iran claimed to have shot down a US military aircraft, with reports emerging that the pilot is missing.
In a message shared on social media, Ghalibaf remarked that the situation has shifted from claims of regime change to discussions about searching for a pilot. He added sarcastically that those who constantly declared success are now facing difficulties in recovering their own personnel.
He further said that at the beginning of the conflict, grand claims were made, including goals such as regime change, but the current situation appears to contradict those assertions.
