Iranian Red Crescent refers to Red Cross, demands investigation into US and Israeli strikes

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Iran’s Red Crescent Society has called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to conduct a legal investigation into alleged human rights violations in American and Israeli attacks.

According to Iranian state news agency, Mariana, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, who is visiting Iran to assess the alleged impact of the attacks, met with Iranian Red Crescent chief Pir Hossein in Tehran.

During the meeting, Pir Hossein alleged that during the war, US and Israeli strikes targeted civilians, including children and the elderly, resulting in multiple deaths.

He said that 56 Red Crescent centers, three rescue helicopters, 43 ambulances, and 49 rescue vehicles were also destroyed in the attacks, causing major damage to humanitarian operations.

Iranian officials have appealed to international organizations to take serious notice of these incidents and play their role in ensuring legal action against those responsible.
