Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei stated that the recent US and Israeli attacks are an attempt to control global energy resources.
In an interview with a Chinese TV channel, he said the attacks during negotiations reflect the US’s lack of seriousness and have released toxic smoke over Iranian oil facilities.
Baqaei described the US and Israeli operations as organized acts of intimidation, targeting not just Iran but the global energy sector. He emphasized that Iran is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty, regional integrity, and national security, and that the US should be held accountable for endangering global peace.
The spokesperson also highlighted that Iran values friendly relations with Arab countries and deplores the use of their territory against Iran. While Iran does not seek war, it will mount a strong defense in case of aggression, targeting only US military bases and installations.
