Iran–US negotiations reportedly underway through Pakistan, claim

New York (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani, has claimed that negotiations between Iran and the United States are ongoing through Pakistan in order to finalize an agreement.

According to Iranian state news agency, after the UN Security Council meeting, the Iranian envoy said that the process of exchanging views and proposals with the United States is continuing to reach an agreement.

He stated that both countries have not yet reached a final draft; however, the negotiation process is progressing through various channels and parties.

The Iranian ambassador also said that any possible ceasefire draft would include all relevant regions, including Lebanon.

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran has neither stepped back from the front nor abandoned the path of negotiations, and that the country’s priority is security and public peace.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is ready to make significant concessions regarding a nuclear agreement, and he has also warned the Israeli Prime Minister that the United States would not be a party in the event of a potential new war.
