Tehran (Monitoring Desk) In Tehran, the Iranian government has confirmed reaching an agreement on a peace deal with the United States, stating that the final approval of the memorandum of understanding has been granted.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said in a statement that the draft agreement has been finalized and approved by the relevant parties.
He stated that the “Islamabad Agreement” will be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday. He added that if any party violates the agreement, Iran reserves the right to take appropriate measures to protect its interests.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had also confirmed that a peace agreement had been reached between the United States and Iran.
According to the US President, the agreement includes the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for maritime traffic and the removal of the naval blockade.
He also stated that both countries had agreed to an immediate and permanent end to military operations on all fronts, including the situation in Lebanon.
According to the statement, the agreement will restore global maritime trade routes and oil transportation channels, while obstacles to the movement of international vessels will also be removed.
Donald Trump described the agreement as a significant development and said that the decision to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the US naval blockade has been implemented.
