Lahore (Sports Desk): During the Test series, Indian cricketers Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant have apologized to South Africa captain Temba Bavuma over inappropriate remarks made about him.
The incident caused a stir on social media, though the International Cricket Council (ICC) did not take any disciplinary action against the Indian players.
Bavuma stated that he was aware that something had been said about him in the players’ language, but later two senior players approached him and offered their apologies. According to Bavuma, at the time of the apology, he did not fully understand the details of the matter, which he later confirmed with his team’s media manager.
The issue had been widely discussed in cricket circles, but with the players’ apology, it appears to be moving towards resolution.
