Istanbul (Turkiye News) Turkish leading drone manufacturer Baykar has signed several international agreements during the major defense and aerospace exhibition SAHA 2026.
These agreements include a significant deal with Italian company Grupo Aziya to establish a fully robotic production line for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The exhibition is being held from May 5 to May 9 at the Istanbul Expo Center under the organization of one of the largest defense, aviation, and space industry clusters in Türkiye and Europe. Anadolu is also the global media partner of the event.
The agreement between Baykar and Grupo Aziya is part of the company’s strategy to increase production capacity and integrate advanced international technologies into its drone systems.
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar said that this partnership will help the company achieve automated, large-scale, cost-effective, and high-quality production.
CEO of the Italian company Alessandro Liberatore described the agreement as an important step forward in industrial cooperation between Türkiye and Italy.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Baykar also signed an agreement with the UAE’s EDGE Group EDGE Group to enhance the strike capability of drones. Under this deal, the “Al Tariq” precision-guided munition will be integrated into the Bayraktar Akıncı UAV.
Similarly, the Turkish drone manufacturer also signed an agreement with French company Safran Electronics & Defense to establish strategic cooperation in advanced avionics and technological solutions in the aerospace sector.
