Ankara (Turkiye News) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan warmly welcomed his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune at an official ceremony in Ankara.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by several senior Turkish officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, and Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, among others.
President Erdoğan and President Tebboune arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for a three-day official visit, during which the two leaders also held bilateral talks.
Later, both leaders will co-chair the Türkiye–Algeria High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, where discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
After the meeting, a signing ceremony for multiple agreements will be held in the presence of both presidents, followed by a joint press conference.
President Erdoğan will also host a state dinner in honor of his guest and will present him with the “Order of the State of the Republic of Türkiye,” one of the country’s highest honors.
