Istanbul (Turkiya News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with foreign ministers of Balkan countries to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
The meeting was attended by foreign ministers from Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, and Serbia. Erdoğan emphasized the importance of consultation on issues such as border security, energy, technology, and transportation, highlighting the need to advance regional interests.
President Erdoğan stated that the world and the region face various challenges, making solidarity and mutual understanding among Balkan Peace Platform member states essential. He also stressed learning from past wounds and working together to reduce the impact of regional instability.
Erdoğan added that peacebuilding efforts are ongoing in various regions, particularly Ukraine, Gaza, and Syria. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Erdoğan’s chief advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and other officials.
