Baku (Turkey News) Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Valeria Csasci, where discussions were held on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the need to further strengthen political ties, increase the exchange of high-level visits, and expand institutional cooperation.

Both sides welcomed the agreement on cooperation between diplomatic academies and also discussed training programs, exchange of experience, and joint training initiatives.

Furthermore, the possibility of easing the visa regime for citizens was also considered in order to facilitate travel between the two countries.

The parties also appreciated that last year’s visit of Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, leading a delegation to Uruguay, played an important role in promoting bilateral trade and economic relations, and agreed to continue such engagements.

The meeting also included discussions on cooperation within international organizations, while on the same day a new round of political consultations between the two countries was also held, led by the deputy foreign ministers of both sides.
