Grand Closing of “Kharibulbul” International Music Festival in Shusha

Shusha (Turkiye Khabar): The “Kharibulbul” International Music Festival held in Shusha concluded successfully under the joint organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture.

In the second part of the ongoing cultural program, a special concert was performed in front of the Natavan Palace in Shusha, where folk artist Sakina Ismayilova and her students participated.

On this occasion, classical “Rast” music was presented, with young singers joining their mentor to create a unique and captivating musical performance. It is worth noting that renowned folk and classical music artist Sakina Ismayilova is also celebrating her 70th birthday this year.

At the conclusion of the program, the famous song “Qarabağ” received a standing ovation from the audience. The festival ended with a remarkable presentation of traditional mugham music, considered both a musical and philosophical expression of Azerbaijan.

Participants shared their impressions with AZERTAC, expressing deep appreciation for the event. Folk artist Sakina Ismayilova said she was honored to perform in Shusha and described it as a matter of pride to appear with her ensemble in the beautiful city of Karabakh.

She further added that celebrating her birthday in Shusha made the occasion even more special, and praised the energetic atmosphere of the concert, noting that performing mugham in front of the Natavan statue was a great honor, while also thanking the audience for their support.
