Gold Continues Rally Amid Global Tensions

Baku (Commerce Desk) — Gold prices have risen for the fifth consecutive day in the global market, as escalating tensions in the Middle East have shaken energy markets and driven investors toward safe-haven assets. The price of gold surpassed $5,380 per ounce, following gains of more than 3% over the past four trading days amid regional unrest, according to News.Az, citing Bloomberg.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington would continue its military operations as long as necessary, while Israel announced a new “wave” targeting Iranian command centers. Tehran carried out attacks on key oil and gas infrastructure and threatened maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
