Global Startup Conference Held in Silicon Valley, Participation from Azerbaijan and Regional Innovators

Baku (Turkiye News) – A major international conference titled “Silicon Valley May Summit 2026” was held from May 19 to 21 at the headquarters of the well-known company “Plug and Play” in Sunnyvale, California.

The three-day event featured 17 different industry programs this year, bringing together more than 300 startups, over 4,000 participants, corporate partners, and investors.

This year’s key themes included artificial intelligence, financial technology, advanced and deep tech solutions, cybersecurity, transportation, industrial supply chains, and semiconductor technologies.

On May 20, during the “Global Startup Showcase,” winners of the “GOAL” program—run in collaboration between the Institute for Innovation and Digital Development and “Plug and Play”—also presented their projects.

At the event, five Azerbaijani startups showcased their capabilities on the global stage. These included “Glacis Biome,” “Bonfi,” “Recipta,” “Pixelfork,” and “Ponyro Artificial Intelligence.”

These startups presented innovative solutions in biotechnology, healthcare, and artificial intelligence to an international audience.

Meanwhile, “Ponyro Artificial Intelligence” was given a special opportunity to present to investors on the main showcase stage after its success at a recent “Shark Tank” session.

The event not only helped increase global recognition of Azerbaijani startups but also connected them with Silicon Valley’s innovation ecosystem, creating new opportunities for international investment and corporate partnerships.
