Turkey (Turkey News): President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that the global halal sector has reached $7 trillion, with consumers worldwide increasingly preferring halal products.
Speaking at the opening of the World Halal Summit on Thursday, Erdoğan highlighted that halal products and services are being provided with a focus on cleanliness, health, and religious sensitivity, reaching nearly two billion people, which strengthens confidence in the sector’s future.
Erdoğan also noted that last year’s summit hosted 50,000 visitors and over 500 companies, and he expects these numbers to grow further this year. He emphasized that the summit is the largest global halal event and will have a significant impact on the industry.
The World Halal Summit and Halal Expo began on Wednesday in Istanbul, with the central theme of “Strengthening the Halal Industry Through Innovation and Excellence.”
