Global Air Travel Severely Disrupted by Iran War

Ankara (Commerce Desk): The ongoing war in Iran has thrown the global aviation industry into financial and operational turmoil, with over 23,000 flights to major Middle Eastern airports canceled since the conflict began.

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has suspended flights to Dubai through the weekend, marking a full week since the start of the U.S. and Israeli joint attacks. Qatar Airways has also extended its suspension of services until Friday.

According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, more than half of nearly 36,000 flights to and from the Middle East since February 28 have been canceled, affecting approximately 4.4 million airline seats.
