Baku (Showbiz Desk): The Artists’ Union of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan’s Artists’ Union, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan jointly organized an international online exhibition titled “Friendship on the Silk Road.” The event marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition features artworks from 18 professional artists from both countries, showcasing a variety of creative styles and aesthetic perspectives. The pieces reflect the shared cultural heritage of the Silk Road and highlight the historical memory and cultural-spiritual legacy of the Azerbaijani and Uzbek peoples through contemporary artistic expression.
An online catalog was also released, offering detailed insights into the exhibition’s artistic and conceptual themes. The catalog includes a foreword by Gunay Efendieva, Vice Chair of the Culture Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament and Cultural Ambassador of Uzbekistan, who described the exhibition as a remarkable example of cultural unity between the two brotherly nations.
