Peshawar (Turkey News) For the first time in the Department of Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a transgender person has been given a government job.
Sobia alias Beebo has become part of the jail police and has been recruited as a Grade 7 warden.
According to the department, Sobia Khan has been recruited under the quota system and will be posted at Peshawar Jail or Jail Headquarters.
Officials said that this step is an important development regarding inclusion and provision of opportunities within the institution.
