Ankara (Monitoring Desk): President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressing the provincial chairpersons’ meeting of the AK Party, stated that each party congress symbolizes a new beginning. The meeting was attended by provincial heads, representatives of women and youth groups, and municipal leaders.
President Erdoğan emphasized that the commitment to serving the nation has grown stronger over time, and since the party’s establishment on August 14, 2001, every congress has marked a significant milestone in AK Party’s political journey. He added that the 8th Grand Congress has further strengthened the party, and the coming period will usher in new heights for the party and its alliances.
Addressing opposition parties, Erdoğan remarked that parties unable to hold their congresses without internal conflicts naturally experience restlessness. He highlighted that the AK Party remains focused on reforms and public service, while opposition parties struggle with internal divisions.
During the congress, Erdoğan noted, the party undertook self-accountability, listened to public criticism, and conducted an honest internal review. The Central Executive Committee has been reinforced with both new and experienced leaders to combine fresh energy with experience.
He stressed that no one is expelled from the AK Party; instead, the party is strengthened. Erdoğan affirmed that the party will continue its mission of public service with full dedication, remaining at the center of addressing the nation’s challenges.
