Baku (Turkey News) – A Green Connectivity Investment Roundtable between the European Union and Azerbaijan was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as part of the 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
On behalf of Azerbaijan, Deputy Energy Ministers Khan Zeynalov and Elnur Sultanov attended the event, while the EU was represented by Kristina Lubello Borero, Director for Energy Security and International Relations at the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, and Adrien Krali, Director for Neighborhood East & Turkey at the Directorate-General for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy.
The roundtable featured detailed discussions on connectivity and transmission, renewable energy projects, electricity grids, energy saving, and storage issues. The meeting reviewed investment opportunities in Azerbaijan’s energy sector, particularly in renewable energy and energy efficiency, and explored potential support from the European Union.
Additionally, opportunities for partnership between Azerbaijani and EU business communities were examined, with representatives from various energy companies, banks, and chambers of commerce participating.
