Baku (Turkey News) President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met on June 1 with a delegation led by Caleb Orr, US Assistant Secretary for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs of the US Department of State.
During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev thanked the visiting delegation for participating in the exhibitions held under “Baku Energy Week” and for attending the opening ceremony of the “Baku Energy Forum.”
He appreciated the message sent by US President Donald Trump for the event, calling it an important sign of growing relations and partnership between the two countries, and expressed gratitude to the US leadership.
President Aliyev said that relations between Azerbaijan and the United States have been developing positively in recent times, and cooperation is being further expanded under the framework of the strategic partnership. He also stressed that the establishment of joint working groups in various sectors is giving new dimensions to bilateral cooperation.
The meeting also discussed the launch of the Azerbaijan–US Economic Dialogue and the importance of recent agreements, while “Baku Energy Week” was described as an important platform for discussing global energy issues and exploring new investment opportunities.
The head of the US delegation, Caleb Orr, conveyed greetings and good wishes from US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to President Ilham Aliyev. President Aliyev also requested that his greetings be conveyed to the US leadership.
The delegation described “Baku Energy Week” as an important opportunity for discussions on global energy markets and cooperation prospects, and praised President Aliyev’s leadership.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue discussions on various matters of mutual interest and to further expand bilateral relations.
