Baku (Turkey News) Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister and co-chair of the Azerbaijan–US Strategic Working Group, Elnur Mammadov, has met with a US delegation.
According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the meeting was held with a delegation led by Sonata Coulter, Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State and US co-chair of the Strategic Working Group.
The meeting included detailed discussions on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, promotion of cooperation under the framework of strategic partnership, expansion of economic ties, energy security, regional connectivity, and other matters of mutual interest.
Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership and agreed that increased cooperation is in the interest of both countries.
During the talks, hope was also expressed that the first session of the Azerbaijan–US Economic Dialogue, scheduled to be held in Baku on June 2, will play an important role in further advancing bilateral relations.
The meeting also included agreement to continue discussions on expanding economic and trade relations, enhancing cooperation in the energy and transport sectors, and promoting regional stability and prosperity.
