Turkey (Turkey News): President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkey is closely monitoring developments in Yemen and Somalia, emphasizing the importance of protecting the territorial integrity and stability of both countries.
The remarks were made on Sunday during a phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in which bilateral relations, regional, and global issues were also discussed. According to the Turkish Directorate of Communications, Erdogan expressed Turkey’s willingness to contribute to efforts aimed at bringing conflicting parties in Yemen closer together.
He added that Ankara intends to take further measures to strengthen cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the future. Furthermore, Erdogan warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating with the onset of winter, and noted that Turkey is continuously working toward a sustainable ceasefire and the reconstruction and development of conflict-affected areas.
