Erdogan Gives Warm Welcome to Indonesian President in Ankara

Ankara (Turkiya News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan officially welcomed Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, the head of the defense industry Haluk Görgün, and other senior government officials.

According to Turkey’s Directorate of Communications, President Subianto will participate in the three-day Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025, which begins on Friday in Antalya. He is also scheduled to address the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Thursday, with a special session and tight security arrangements in place for the event.

This visit comes as Turkey and Indonesia celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations. During Erdoğan’s visit to Indonesia in February, the two countries signed 13 new agreements aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation.

President Erdoğan praised Indonesia’s stance on the Palestinian issue and expressed commitment to joint efforts for Gaza’s reconstruction, while President Subianto emphasized the need to strengthen defense cooperation with Turkey.
