Ankara (Turkey News): Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held separate talks with Gulf leaders following recent regional attacks, the Turkish Directorate of Communications reported.
Erdoğan expressed condolences to Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and discussed the current situation in the region. On Saturday morning, United States and Israel carried out a joint attack on Iran, aimed at neutralizing alleged threats from the Iranian government. In response, Iran targeted Israeli and US military bases with missiles and drones.
Five Arab countries in the region, including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE, reported intercepting explosions and missile threats on Saturday, while Israeli and US strikes continued.
Erdoğan also spoke with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, expressing sympathy after the attacks and receiving updates on the latest situation in Qatar.
