Erdoğan and Trump Discuss Iran Tensions

Ankara (Turkey News): Recep Tayyip Erdoğan contacted Donald Trump to discuss attacks on Iran and the latest developments in the region, Turkish officials reported.

Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran stated that the two leaders exchanged views on the current situation in Iran and Gulf countries, as well as recent developments.

The conversation took place amid escalating regional tensions, with Ankara conducting diplomatic efforts to reduce strain and encourage dialogue in the Middle East, where developments between Iran and Gulf nations have raised international concern.

United States and Israel launched attacks on Tehran on Saturday, while nuclear negotiations with Iran continued under Omani mediation. A new round of talks in Geneva concluded on Thursday.

Last June, during a 12-day Israel-Iran conflict, the US also struck three Iranian nuclear facilities.
