Details of Clashes Between Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and the United States Released

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has released details regarding recent military clashes with the United States.

According to Iran’s semi-official news agency Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC claimed that the series of events began when U.S. forces targeted an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, damaging its engine room.

The report states that in response, Iranian forces carried out missile strikes on U.S. and Israeli naval vessels. It further claims that U.S. forces later targeted an Iranian communications tower south of Qeshm Island.

According to the IRGC, Iran then responded with missile and drone attacks on a U.S. airbase, allegedly hitting the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet and helicopters stationed in a regional country.

The situation has heightened tensions in an already volatile region, though these claims have not been independently verified.
