Chief of Army Staff Polo Championship Awarded to Peshawar Corps

Rawalpindi (Sports Desk): Peshawar Corps displayed an outstanding performance to clinch the title at the 50th Chief of Army Staff Polo and Tent Pegging Championship 2025.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the closing ceremony of the championship was held at the Jinnah Polo Fields, where the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, attended as the chief guest.

ISPR stated that upon arrival at the Jinnah Polo Fields, the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation welcomed the Field Marshal. The Federal Interior Minister, Chief Secretary Punjab, and a large number of spectators were also present at the ceremony.

The military spokesperson said that the championship reflects the Pakistan Army’s strong traditions in sports, professional excellence, and discipline. A total of eight teams participated in the competition, with Peshawar Corps securing first position and Gujranwala Corps finishing second.

At the conclusion of the event, the chief guest, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, distributed prizes among the winning and participating teams.
