Black Box and Voice Recorder of Crashed Aircraft Found in Turkey

Ankara (Turkey Khabar): Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has confirmed that the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder have been recovered from the wreckage of a private aircraft that crashed near Ankara. The crash resulted in the deaths of several people, including the Libyan military chief.

Speaking to the media, Ali Yerlikaya said that the wreckage of the aircraft is scattered over a vast area of approximately three square kilometers. He added that teams from the Ministry of Transport’s Transportation Safety Investigation Center conducted a detailed inspection of the crash site.

The interior minister stated that the aircraft’s voice recorder was recovered at 2:45 a.m., while the flight data recorder—commonly known as the black box—was retrieved from the debris at 3:20 a.m. Technical analysis of these devices has begun to determine the causes of the accident.

According to Ali Yerlikaya, a total of 408 personnel took part in the search and recovery operation, supported by 103 vehicles and seven aircraft. He also informed that a 22-member Libyan delegation has arrived in Ankara, including relatives of the deceased as well as officials from Libya’s Ministries of Defense and Interior.

Expressing condolences to the affected families, the Libyan government, and the public, the Turkish interior minister described the incident as extremely tragic and heartbreaking.
