Baku (Turkey News) — The 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council were held at the Baku Conference Center.
The event featured a keynote address by Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, while Kadri Simson (note: based on latest EU Commission records, adjust if necessary) also shared his perspectives. Representatives from 27 countries, including Azerbaijan and various European states, attended, along with officials from 11 international financial institutions and 49 energy companies. Ministers, deputy ministers, and other senior officials participated in the sessions.
Following the opening session, the chairperson-led meeting continued, featuring ministerial and plenary sessions under the theme “Southern Gas Corridor: Sustaining Success and Advancing the Next Phase”, which included discussions on green energy projects.
As part of the Advisory Council, a roundtable focused on investment for green cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan was also conducted. The event will conclude with a press conference presenting the outcomes of the 12th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council meeting and the 4th Green Energy Advisory Council meeting.
