Azerbaijan’s Reconstruction Model Gains Global Recognition

Baku (Turkey News): Azerbaijan, following its historic victory in the 44-day war, has not only reshaped the region’s geopolitical landscape but also initiated a unique era of reconstruction and development within the country.

According to details, large-scale rehabilitation and reconstruction projects are rapidly underway in the liberated areas. Due to their scale and pace, these efforts are emerging as the “Azerbaijan Model” in the modern world, based on advanced, sustainable, and digitally driven urban planning.

Cities and villages devastated over three decades of occupation are being rebuilt from the ground up, with world-class infrastructure being established. These regions are now transforming into major construction hubs.

As a result of these initiatives, Azerbaijan’s global standing has significantly improved, leading to its capital Baku being awarded the hosting rights for the 13th World Urban Forum in 2026, to be held in collaboration with a subsidiary body of the United Nations.

Experts believe this development is clear evidence of international recognition of ongoing development projects in Karabakh and East Zangezur. During the forum, Azerbaijan will present its successful post-conflict urban recovery experience to the world, while also highlighting modern urban development concepts such as smart cities and green energy.
