Azerbaijan (Turkey News): Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, delivered a speech at the high-level segment of the 121st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva from February 22 to 25, 2026.
During his address, Mammadov discussed the process of restoring normalcy following the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, highlighting progress on the Washington Agreement and the role of the Zangazur Corridor in regional development, according to local sources cited by Reuters.
He also outlined the “Great Return” program, aimed at determining the fate of missing persons, reducing risks from landmines, and ensuring the safe and dignified return of internally displaced persons, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s efforts to address the humanitarian consequences of the conflict.
