Baku (Commerce Desk): Azerbaijan’s gas production reached 51.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) last year, marking a 2.4% increase (1.2 bcm) compared to 2024, according to data released by AZERTAC.
Production by major fields was as follows:
- Azəri-Chıraq-Günəşli (ACG): 14.1 bcm
- Shah Deniz: 27.9 bcm
- Absheron: 1.6 bcm
- SOCAR: 7.9 bcm
During the same period, gas exports totaled 25.2 bcm, remaining unchanged from the previous year. Distribution included:
- Europe: 12.8 bcm (0.78% decrease)
- Turkey: 9.6 bcm (3.03% decrease), of which 5.6 bcm was transported via the TANAP pipeline
- Georgia: 2.3 bcm (4.17% decrease)
- Syria: 0.5 bcm
These figures indicate consistent stability in Azerbaijan’s energy production and highlight the country’s continued role in global gas markets.
