Azerbaijan and Switzerland Agree to Enhance Legal Cooperation

Baku (Turkey News): Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, and Attorney General of Switzerland, Stefan Blättler, held a bilateral meeting during their visit to China.

According to media reports, the meeting included detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen legal cooperation between the two countries. On the occasion, the Swiss Attorney General described his previous visit to Baku as pleasant and expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality.

He praised Azerbaijan’s rapid development, effective strategies against crime, and high level of security, noting that the country has achieved significant success in combating crime and is playing an important role in promoting peace and stability at regional and global levels.

During the meeting, Kamran Aliyev emphasized that crime is no longer confined within borders, making direct cooperation between prosecution authorities of different countries essential.

He expressed hope that enhanced cooperation between the two nations would bring greater harmony in legal systems and help address practical challenges more effectively.

Key issues such as mutual legal assistance in criminal cases, extradition of offenders, and expanding the scope of cooperation were also discussed.

It is worth noting that a delegation led by Kamran Aliyev is currently visiting Shanghai at the invitation of their Chinese counterpart.
