Azerbaijan Agrees to Strengthen Cooperation with Turkey and Georgia

Azerbaijan (Turkey News): Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, met with delegations led by Firat Oktay of Turkey’s National Assembly and Nikoloz Samkharadze of Georgia’s Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported.

The discussions focused on advancing allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, strategic partnership with Georgia, and the overall security situation in the region. Officials emphasized the importance of parliamentary cooperation and regular liaison between foreign affairs committees, according to local media cited by Reuters.

The meeting highlighted three-party cooperation formats involving parliaments as well as foreign and defense ministers, aimed at strengthening peace, stability, security, and prosperity in the region. Key topics included energy security, transport and communications projects such as the Middle Corridor, and regional economic integration.
