Islamabad (Turkiye News) In Islamabad, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that under the government's austerity campaign, the monthly petrol quota for federal ministers has been significantly reduced.
In his statement, he said that the monthly petrol allocation for federal ministers has been reduced from 400 litres to 200 litres.
According to Azam Nazeer Tarar, the government is implementing various measures to reduce expenditures and promote financial discipline, as a result of which ministers’ privileges and facilities have also been substantially curtailed.
He said that under the current policy, there is little room left for additional perks and benefits for federal ministers. However, if there are any objections regarding the 200-litre monthly petrol quota, the matter can be reviewed further.
The Federal Minister for Law stated that austerity measures are being implemented across various ministries and government institutions to ensure the efficient use of national resources and eliminate unnecessary expenditures.
He further said that reducing government spending will lessen the burden on the national treasury and help strengthen financial discipline. According to him, the government has already reduced several facilities available to senior officials and ministers and will continue to review additional measures in the future.
