Antalya Diplomacy Forum Begins, Global Leaders Gather for Key Summit

Istanbul: The fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum has officially commenced on Friday in Türkiye, bringing together global leaders and senior officials to deliberate on rising global uncertainties. This three-day forum is being held under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Mediterranean city of Antalya, under the theme “Shaping the Future, Managing Uncertainty.”

The forum is witnessing participation from more than 150 countries, including over 20 heads of state and government and nearly 15 deputy leaders. Additionally, more than 50 ministers—over 40 of them foreign ministers—along with representatives from 75 international organizations, are attending the event. In total, over 460 high-level participants and around 5,000 attendees, including academics and students, are expected to take part.

Among the participants, nearly half of the heads of state are from Africa and Europe, while a significant number of foreign ministers are attending from Africa (around 40 percent), Europe (35 percent), and Asia (22 percent).

During the forum, more than 40 panel discussions and various events will be held, focusing on political, economic, environmental, and technological challenges, with special attention to the evolving global landscape. All sessions are being broadcast live on the forum’s official website and social media platforms, while several sessions are also being aired through Türkiye’s state broadcaster TRT.

Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is scheduled to hold several important meetings, including the third Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the Balkan Peace Platform, a session on Gaza, an informal meeting of the Organization of Turkic States’ foreign ministers, and a key quadrilateral meeting involving Türkiye, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
